Does the Thule HideAway Roll Out Awning # TH620001 Fit on OEM Roof Rails or on a Bare Roof?

Hi - Does this mount with the adaptor kit to the OEM roof rails or only to roofs without the rails? Thanks!

In order to mount the Thule HideAway Roll Out Awning for ProMaster or Sprinter - Roof Mount # TH620001 to your vehicle, you are correct in saying that you need the Thule HideAway Awning Adapter for Mercedes Sprinter with OE Track # TH301668. The adapter allows you to install the HideAway awning directly onto your factory tracks on your roof.

If you are looking to mount an awning directly to your vehicle with mounting hardware, I recommend the Thule HideAway Awning - Wall Mount - Waterproof - 80 sq ft # TH490011. With this wall-mount option, you will be able to directly install the awning by drilling into the side of your van.

It is important to note that you will need additional hardware if you are planning to mount this awning on specific vans like a Volkswagen Van or Volkswagen Microbus.
