How to Determine if MaxxAir FanMate E-Z Clip Mounts Will Work

Question:

The EZ Clip mounts on my Airexcel Maxxair fan are approximately 8 1/2” X 18”. Does this cover fit these EZ Clip mounts? Will it allow the fan cover to open fully?

The E-Z Clip mounts measure 18" apart in width and 11-3/16" apart in length on center for the MaxxAir FanMate RV and Trailer Roof Vent Cover # MA00-955003.

I have added a diagram below showing the spacing of the tabs. This is designed to fit the E-Z clips for 2015 and newer MaxxFan and MaxxFan Plus roof vent models (Airxcel is the manufacturer and Maxxair is the brand, so they aren't specifically models) and will also work on older MaxxFan vents. So if your Maxxair vent is older, or you don't have a MaxxFan or MaxxFan Plus, you will need to screw the mounting brackets into the side of your vent.

In regards to the lid, vent covers don't allow them to open 100 percent, but they allow them to open enough for full functionality and air flow. So the MaxxAir FanMate # MA00-955003 will absolutely work for you, it just depends on the year and model type of your vent to determine if the E-Z Clip mounting can be utilized.
