Hi I bought part LC88VR Replacement idler head cover. Is the above the correct part that connects to this? Thank you

As the Replacement Idler Head Cover # LC88VR is for the Regal style head, the # LC289558 will not be the correct piece.
For your Regal style head, you will need the replacement Solera Regal Head Assembly Back Cover # LC25KR. This will mate to the back of the # LC88VR and you will be good to go.
