Will The Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit Still Fit My Trailer That Has 2-5/8" Shackle Straps?

Question:

My trailer has 2 5/8 shackles on it. Just but the ez flex with heavy duty shackles and wet bolt. Shackles are 2 1/4 will these work

You should not have an issue with the shackles straps from the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-653-00 being 3/8" shorter than what you currently have on your trailer. This will slightly raise your suspension by around 3/16" if your equalizer is the same height as the Dexter.

I do recommend comparing your current equalizer bolt height with the with the Dexter that is 2-7/8" tall. If your current equalizer is any also shorter this will add to the difference which will slightly raise your suspension. If it is taller it may cause the strap height to level itself out.
