Can I Use the D&W Inc. Spray-Port RV Exterior Hose Hookup # PF147006 For an Outdoor Sink

https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/D-and-W-Inc/PF147006.html I was looking at the above part, but it says for non-potable water only. Do you know why and or do they make one safe for potable water? I wanted to use the quick connect for an outdoor sink. Thanks

I spoke to my contact at Valterra and she said the reason the D&W Inc. Spray-Port RV Exterior Hose Hookup - 2-3/4" Round - Black # PF147006 says it is for non-potable water is to stay in accordance with the Safe Drinking Water Act. The water from this hookup is not recommended to be used as drinking water.

Any of the hose hookups that we carry will be for non-drinking water.
