Question:
Hi I have a companion hitch with the square post. How far can the post be adjusted? I’m moving from a pickup to a FL70 and the bed is set up with quite a to the gooseneck balls. Can the hitch post be extended for up to a foot?

I do have a couple options that may work for you, but the post on your B&W Companion is not extendable.
With that being said, the Replacement Base for B&W Companion Flatbed 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVB3055 will work with your pre-existing Companion head ( # BWRVC3006 ) and is rated for up to 22,000 pounds. The base of this option will measure 18 inches by 18 inches, so you will need to measure to make sure it will fit.
If your space is under that, the only other option will be the Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter # RP85FR. This will replace a Lippert 1621 and 0719 fifth wheel king pin and connect directly to the gooseneck balls. The B&W 4" Offset Ball # BWGNXA4085 can also be used to give you more clearance if needed.
If you have just one trailer, this will be a great option. However, if you have multiple trailers and the space needed, the B&W # BWRVB3055 will be the best way to go.
