Can you lock this when engaged to a vehicle so nobody can take it off while you’re not around??

You absolutely can!

To lock the coupler latch of the Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator # DM8104311 you were looking at to the hitch ball on your vehicle you will need to use the coupler lock # e98887 which gets inserted into the hole on the latch shown in the included diagram.

This makes it so that the trailer coupler cannot be removed from the hitch ball, and you can do the same thing when storing the trailer that way no one can hook their vehicle up to the trailer and take it.
