Question:

I am trying to install Downloader on Aero bars using adapter kit MPG6604. It came with 4 bolts, nuts and washers but I think I only need 2 of each. I would appreciate if you would confirm that. Also the bolts do not extend very far below bottom and I wonder if they should be longer or maybe I should not use the washers. Just seeking reassurance because I have little confidence in doing this stuff and want to make sure holder is securely on the rack before I load my kayak. Thank you.

The Malone DownLoader Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs - J-Style - Folding - Side Loading, part # MPG114MD, should attach to your aero bars without the Truck Rack Crossbar T-Slot Fit Kit for Malone Kayak Carriers, part # MPG8287. The DownLoader comes with four 7mm bolts and four 8 mm bolts. These bolts are long enough to go around your vehicle's aero bars. The T-Slot kit you ordered is designed for customer's who want to attach the DownLoader via the t-slots of their aero bars, that is why the bolts are shorter.
