Do to space considerations, can the RS34FR detector be mounted in a vertical position rather than horizontal?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The 2-Wire Carbon Monoxide Detector # RS34FR can be mounted vertically or horizontally, it does also state that it needs to be 4-18" from the floor and where it won't be obstructed to airflow.
Additionally do not mount within 12" of any opening windows, exterior doors, fans, vents, or areas with a draft. To continue, do not mount on exterior walls, within 24" of any cooking appliances, behind furniture or any areas that would block flow to the alarm, and on a wall controlled by a power line or to a circuit breaker.
