How long does it take to install your base plate on a 2021 Colorado

The Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # RM57VR for your 2021 Chevrolet Colorado, the manufacturer gives an estimate of 2.5 hours for a service technician to be able to install. As we have not been able to yet install this item ourselves on your Colorado I would estimate 3.5-4 hours for a typical do it yourself installer with some vehicle knowledge and all the proper tools.
This time may be extended as you will also be installing parts of the Roadmaster Towing Kit # RM-9243-1 for the front wiring connection to operate your tail lights. As well as the brake away connection for a braking system like the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR.
Do remember that you will need a Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect with Switch # RM-766 (unless you have a diesel engine) and a Battery Charge Line # RM-156-25 to prevent the battery from being drained by the braking system.
I recommend using the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain Tow Bar # RM-522 as it uses channels on the bars to guide both the electrical wiring and safety cables that are included in the Towing Kit # RM-9243-1
