Question:
I ordered a Tekonsha 118812 kit for my 2019 Hyundai Tucson a year ago and finally installed it. Everything fit well, but the drivers-side brake light on my car does not work when the kit is plugged in. If I remove the T-connector, it works OK. Any ideas about why this might not be working?

I am sorry to hear about your issue!
To find out what is causing the driver side tail light of your 2019 Hyundai Tucson to not work with the Tekonsha # 118812 installed you will need to remove your driver side tail light and check that the connector going into your factory connector and the connector going into the tail light are fully seated. If one is loose go ahead and check your lights again.
Next remove the connectors and look for any debris or bent pins inside the connectors that can be causing your issue.
If the issue still persists then using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 test the wires going in-between the factory connector and tail light connector. You should have power on the same pin on each connector. If you do not then there is an issue inside of the harness and it will need to be replaced.
I included a video o the # 118812 for you to take a look at.
