Replacing Titan Aero 6000 with Dexter Surge Actuator 099-175-20

Question:
Hi, I just ordered this Dexter coupler to replace the Aero 6000 on my 2002 Four Winns boat trailer. I just had a couple questions because I am going on a next weekend and need to have the trailer up and running again. I want to make sure I have all the parts needed to hook this up since I will only have a 48hr window between when its delivered and when we leave to install it. Is the Dexter a direct bolt on replacement for the Titan Aero 6000? Meaning the mounting holes are in the same exact spot? I see that the holes on both are 3in apart center to center, but is the location the same? Is the female fitting for the brake line the same size as the the aero 6000 or do I need to plan on getting a new brake line fitting to connect it? What size is the inside diameter on the master cylinder fill hole? I have pressure bleeder with a boat trailer adapter, but Im not sure if the adapter will be the same size? I believe the adapter is 1 3/16

Expert Reply:
The Titan Aero 6000 does use a slightly different bolt pattern as the Dexter Coupler part # 099-175-20 so while it can work as a replacement you'd have to drill new holes or have the new coupler welded on.
The brake line fittings are the same though so it would easily connect in that regard without requiring any adapters or fittings.
