Question:
I have a 2020 forest River Rockwood. Just bought it . The leveling system is great but it’s so low to the ground in the rear. While backing up at a camp ground I couldn’t get in because the ground had a 5 inch incline. The lippert system in the rear is only 6 inches from the ground and was making contact w the ground. What can I do? Please help. The bracket is already at the lowest it can go. But the cyclinder is so long. It’s the lippert 3.0.

The best and only option we have if your leveling system is too close to the ground is to add a lift to your Forest River Rockwood which will raise it and give you added clearance. You didn't mention the model of your Rockwood but the best option is what is called an over/under kit, which lifts your trailer approximately the same amount as your axle's diameter plus the height of the leaf spring pack (please keep in mind this conversion kit is for use with double-eye springs only).
The correct fit will depend on if you have a 2-3/8" diameter axle, which is typically a 3,500 lb axle, or a 3" axle, which is typically a 5,200 lb - 7,000 lb axle:
- 2-3/8" Axle: Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-384-00
- 3" Axle: Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-385-00
These kits are for single-axle trailers so if you have a tandem axle you would need a quantity of two. I have added links below to video reviews as well as installation instructions for you to take a look at.
