Question:

Hi, I own a 2005 Chevy Astro Cargo Van 2wd Id like to install a class III, 2inch receiving hitch and the appropriate wiring needed. I notice there are two choices of hitch for that vehicle and a couple of wiring options. Can you advise me on which would most likely be the easier to install as Im hoping to do this myself? Also, after the hitch is installed will the spare tire still have room to stay stored under the vehicle? Thats an important consideration for me. Thank you.

My recommendation would be the Draw-Tite MaxFrame # 75122 for your 2005 Chevrolet Astro Van, and I would also recommend the Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness # C55411 due to the reliability and the quality of product Curt is known for. With either option of wiring, you are going to need to tap into your vehicles wiring harness. But an installation guide is included on how to do everything, so you can do it yourself. As far as interference with your vehicles spare tire goes, there will be no issue and you will still have plenty of room to access your spare.
