Which Roof Rack Is Best For Installing Thule Hullavator Kayak Carrier On 2021 Honda CR-V?

Hi, read through the information you offered online for the hullavator. I would like to use these on a 2021 crv touring. I would like to use an aluminum finish rack that would accommodate the hullavator. do you have any recommendations on styles and cross bar length thank you

I can certainly help you out with that. First off, the Thule Hullavator # TH898 requires crossbars that hang over the edge of your vehicle's roof by at least 4" on each side. Second, the Hullavator also weighs 40lbs, so you will need a roof and a roof rack with a weight capacity to handle the 40lb carrier along with your kayak. It looks like your roof can hold up to 165lbs but you will want to check your owner's manual to verify.

Since you have the touring model, you likely have flush roof rails or raised roof rails. If you have flush rails then I recommend going with Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars - Aluminum - Black 59" # RRVA150B-2 (or Silver crossbars # RRVA150S-2), Legs # RRRCL4, and Fit Kit # RRRCP60-BK. If you have raised rails then go with Inno Aero Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 60" # INXB153-2 (black is only color option), Feet # INXS350, and Fit Kit # IN98FR.

Now that you have a sufficient crossbar setup, you can simply install the Thule Hullavator # TH898 by using the included clamps or T-slot hardware. I attached demonstration videos for you.
