Which Tankless Water Heater to Replace Factory Unit in 2019 Keystone Cougar Half-Ton 34TSB

Question:

Im interest in purchasing the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater for a 2019 Keystone Cougar Half-Ton 34TSB. However, unsure if it will fit without modifying/cutting the opening for the water heater on the RV. If this Furrion water heater does not fit without modification, is there another brand/model that you recommend. Thank you for your assistance!

I'll start out by saying that we don't have a way of knowing exactly which hot water heater was used on your 2019 Keystone Cougar Half-Ton 34TSB, but typically the Atwood or Dometic units that we typically find being replaced are roughly 16" tall x 16" wide x 20" deep. If we assume that your current unit has a similar size, the Furrion Tankless RV Water Heater # FR98SR you were looking at will actually be a bit smaller than your current unit since it's just a tad bigger than 12" tall x 12" wide and 19" deep.

With that said, a closer sized tankless heater would be the Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot - 41,800 Btu - White # LSB64FR, which still might be a tad smaller than your existing unit since it's 14-3/8" tall x 15" wide, but it would likely require much less modification. I really like these Fogatti heaters because they offer line freeze protection to help keep your water lines from freezing when temperatures drop.

These are the only two sizes of tankless heaters we have available, so if you can't fit them in your previous heater's opening you'll have to come up with a solution to fill the gaps. I've linked a review video of the Fogatti system for you to check out, as well.
