Flat Tow Package For a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I am interested in a tow bar and the base plate kit for my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee but I would need to have it installed. ??? Where would I take it for that? We live in Colfax California. Thank you so much for your help.

I looked up the owners manual for your 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. According to the manual the only model that can be flat towed (recreational towing) is the 4 wheel drive model with 4-LO range. As long as that is the model that you have then you will need the following items to flat tow your vehicle.
Base Plate Kit:
I recommend the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521440-5. This base plate is made in the USA and has clean streamlined look, along with a limited lifetime warranty.
Tow Bars:
I recommend the etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates # e74ZR. This tow bar includes the safety cables, the shank has a built in 1-1/2" rise or drop and adjustable head. It is also a non binding design that allows you to unhook your vehicle even on uneven ground.
Wiring:
Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. Diode kit allows you to use your Jeep Grand Cherokee's tail lights and wiring system while preventing feedback from your RV.
Braking System:
Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # DM86VR. automatic, proportional braking with a system that never has to be removed, replaced, or reset. The DUO activates when your RV brake lights go on and the inertia sensor detects deceleration. No false braking.
Additional needed parts:
Replacement Base Pins with Chains and Clips for Roadmaster Tow Bars # RM-910029. Needed to attach tow bar to base plate.

If you have a SRT model or 4 wheel drive without 4-LO range it must be pulled on a trailer.
If you have a 2 wheel drive model it can be towed with the rear wheels up on a tow dolly like the Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes # RM-2050-1.
You will want to consult your owners manual for further information that may be required for flat towing (recreational towing).
We don't have any partnerships or specific shop recommendations in Colfax, CA. A local RV dealer with a shop will be your best option.
