Using Lava Rock with Greystone Griddle and Grill

Can you use the this grill with lava rocks? Or you don’t have to?

There is no requirement to use lava rock with the Greystone Griddle and Grill, # WAY34FR. A person could arrange to use lava rock with most any grill if they choose to, but this is not designed for that need. The use of lava rock has actually fallen out of design in recent years with grill manufacturers in favor of other technology such as burner/heat shields, as used with the Greystone Griddle and Grill, # WAY34FR.
