What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this griddle and grill combo from Greystone. So you got it set up in the griddle mode right now. You can take this top off and then it's a grill underneath there. It's going to run on propane and be a good solution to grilling. If your rig doesn't have that much space on the inside, you can set it all up on outside.
That way you are out here, plenty of room to grill whatever you want. You can use the griddle in the morning for breakfast or use the grill in the evening for dinner. It's really easy to switch it back and forth. Obviously, you want to do this before you start cooking, when you decide what you're gonna use it for. Let's say we want to grill some steaks.
So we're gonna remove the griddle. You're just gonna have four of these screws. You're gonna have two of them on each side. Once you undo those, you can lift off the griddle, set it aside. Now you can see the grill that's underneath.
With them side by side, we can actually get some measurements, show you how much space you're working with. So on the griddle, we're going to go inside to inside, about 17" from side to side. And then 15" from front to back. Now if we go over to the grill, we're going to have 15 1/2" from side to side and 12" from front to back. So they are a little bit different.
You get a little bit more room with the griddle, just because of the overhang. But the fact that it's not a half & half grill, I think is going to help you out. Because the other option is, half of this would be a griddle and half would be grill. That doesn't exactly give you enough space to cook for a bunch of different people. So this is better that you can make the decision on which one you're going to cook. And you have that extra space for wherever you want it for. Now, with the griddle, it's going to be good to, they recommend seasoning it before you start cooking because it makes it from a stick surface to a nonstick surface. They just recommend you do that seasoning on there first, before you start grilling right away. The grill is good to go. You don't have to do anything extra here, if you want to just do some steaks. All right, let's get it started. So to do that, you're going to push in on this button and hold it there for just a second. Let the gas start flowing. You're going to turn it and you'll hear the click of the igniter and that should fire it up. Just like that. It's got the sides that are raised here around it. That way, if you are cooking an abundance of food and it's cooked towards the edge, you don't have to worry about it falling off. Let's say you're making a bunch of scrambled eggs. You don't have to worry about, if you go to separate, you want to do bacon over here and you go to push it, you're not actually going to shove it off the grill. That's nice that those walls are there to keep it in place. You also have the grease trap here, so that everything can drain towards that. And then you have this here is where all the grease is going to go. So you can take it out and dispose of it that way. So you don't have to worry about it just sitting there on the griddle while you're cooking. It does have somewhere to go and you can get rid of it there. Now underneath is going to be the grease trap for the grill. So you can take that out and dispose of the grease that way. And it also acts as a heat shield. So we have it on our plastic table like we do, the heat's not going to bother it at all. It's going to block that heat from going and transferring to whatever surface it's sitting on. On the back side, we have all the vents. So this is where the heat's going to come out. So just make sure you don't point it towards your rig. Maybe point it away. That way the heat's not going at anybody else or, like I said, your rig. Now right here is we're gonna hook up the propane. It works with a quick connector. So it's that easy to detach it or reattach it. Just like that. Make sure you check your connector though, on your rig side to make sure you get the right hose for it. It does not come with a hose. You're gonna have to buy that separately. Just want to make sure you get the right one. Just some things to think about while you're cooking, is it has a max inlet gas pressure of 13" WC. And then also, it has a BTU rating of 12,000. Overall, I really like this grill. I like the fact that compared to some of the other ones, when you get the half & half, which is nice to have half a grill and half a griddle, that I can actually maximize my grill space on one grill. I don't have two things. There's nothing taking up more space on the inside. We got it right here. If I want a grill, I can grill. Don't use the griddle for breakfast, I can set that up and use that on the same machine. I really like that. I think it's gonna be a great addition to your rig and help you on your adventures. Thanks for hanging out. And I hope this helps..

Very nice unit. I especially like the porcelain griddle finish and the grill griddle combo.
I own a black stone at home and should have stayed with a black stone. I went with this Greystone as it was a duel griddle and Grill combo. It came without any hose hook-up so all that had to be purchased seperately. The automatic ignition failed after only one use. I have had to disassemble the gas valves on the grill twice now to get the gas to flow. Gas flow just stops while in the process of cooking. No more Greystone products for me.
Advertised with a cast iron griddle, but came with a ceramic or powder coated griddle. not as advertised. This means I cannot season the grill surface, as advertised. Considering returning the product.
Excellent - timely delivery and customer service was great
