To get the brakes working on your Roadmaster Tow Dolly # RM-2050-1, you will need a few parts.
To start with, you will need to wire a plug to the bare wiring on the # RM-2050-1. For this I suggest the Bargman 7-Way, RV-Style Connector w/ 12' Long Coiled Cable # WG54006-046. This is a nice heavy duty plug and the coiled cable will keep everything up and out of the way.
This will then plug into the included 7 Way that comes with the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. This will include the needed wiring and everything to get power to the 7 way plug. However, installing this will require running wires to the battery and up to the controller in the cab which, depending on how long your RV is, you may need to add some wiring.
The last thing you will need to get everything up and running is the controller. For this, I suggest the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195. This is an easy to use and set up controller and will work with nearly everything.
I included videos for all these parts that you can check out as well.
