Question:

I have 2008 Honda Element EX AWD and have a Roadmaster stowmaster tow bar with 2inch ball. I need a base plate. Roadmaster indicates part # 1541-3 but cant find that part # on your site. Is this info correct?

The Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # 1541-3 is a fit for your 2008 Honda Element EX and we have it on our website. I have included a link to the base plate kit for you to find on the website.

If you will be flat-towing your 2008 Honda Element you will also need Towbar wiring, a supplemental braking system and safety cables.

For the supplemental braking system I recommend the Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # RM-9400. I recommend the # RM-9400 because its portable and can easily switched between vehicles.

For the wiring kit I recommend the Hopkins Magnetic Tow Lights # C6304. I recommend these Tow Lights because they are magnetic making them the simplest option.

For safety cables I recommend the RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables - 6,000 lbs # RM-643. I recommend these cables because being coiled will help keep them from dragging, preventing damage to the cables.
