Question:

Hi, I have a Haul Master Cargo Carrier. Aluminum model from Harbor Freight The platform height to to the top of the side rails is 6 inches. I have a 2018 GMC Terrain. Do you guys know if this will work with my cargo carrier? or have instructions on how I can figure out if this will work with my carrier?

I have a replacement option for you, but the Folding Basket Adapter for 2" Trailer Hitch Mounted Cargo Carriers # 52015 you were looking at is only compatible with select Surco and Curt cargo carriers, and is not confirmed to work with your Haul Master Cargo Carrier.

Instead I recommend returning your cargo carrier and purchasing one designed to fold, like the 19x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Aluminum - Folding - 500 lbs # C18100. This cargo carrier folds, has the same 500lb capacity as your current carrier, and has the same 500lb rating. This will still fit in the 2" trailer hitch receiver of your 2018 GMC Terrain.
