Recommended Suspension Enhancement for a 2000 GMC 1500 Sierra 2WD with a 3 Inch Lift
Question:
Hello, I have a 2000 GMC 1500 Sierra, 2WD, 5.3L V8, lifted 3inch with Fabtech lift spindles front and 3inch block in rear and a tow rating of 6700 lbs. Im planning to perform suspension upgrades to tow a ~6000 lb RV trailer via Hensley weight distribution tow hitch. My plan would be adding both rear sway bar and Sumo Springs. Question 1 Do you have a recommended set of components that would best fit may application and are there Sumo Spring spacers that allow adaption to the 3inch lift? Question 2 are there front suspension recommendation etrailer would make to upgrade for safety and ride comfort?

As the SumoSprings # SS45MR are designed to be used with stock height vehicles, I do suggest going a different way.
The RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS54FR will not be impeded by the lift on your vehicle. This is also rated up to 3,000 pounds and will definitely help with sagging while towing. This can also be used in unison with the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1109-176. This is, however, intended as a replacement/upgrade for a vehicle with a 1 inch swaybar.
We do also have the Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs for Coil Spring Suspension # CSS-1125F available for the front of your Sierra. These fit between the individual coils in each spring of your vehicle's front suspension for better load support and a more comfortable ride.
