Question:
Hi, my name is Tim. And my question is. I have a 1998 GMC 3500 cargo van that we have fixed up for pulling our 23 foot rock wood roo. It has a 5.7 engen. Does not over heat and I don’t want it to, I would like to have a remote transmission cooler with fan on a toggle switch. I also want to keep my stock transmission cooler along with the remote one. Witch one do you recommend. I would also like to know if there is any special fittings and the right amount of hoses, or lengths. Thanks in advance if you can help. Just trying to make the best choice.

I have a solution for you. I recommend the Derale Electra-Cool Remote Cooler item # D13700. This remote cooler mounts anywhere with aluminum mounting brackets. Cools fluid effectively with large-capacity, 16-pass, tube-fin heat-exchanger core. This is also a complete cooler assembly which includes, aluminum AN fittings and hose-barb adapters. You would need to run the remote switch through the transmission hub of your GMC Cargo Van and mount it wherever you wanted.
