Helpful Expert Reply:
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C12198 which is a great option for a 2019 Subaru Forester will work well with most bike racks. If you are looking for hatch access with the bike rack attached, you'll want to make sure the bike rack has a tilting feature like the Thule Hitching Post Pro - Folding Tilting 4 Bike Rack w Anti-Sway - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches Item # TH934XTR. This is what will determine whether or not you can open the hatch with the bike rack still in place as it will need to be tilted down to clear. It really has very little to do with the hitch.
