Looking for a hitch for my 2016 camry se model with the least modifications

The install procedure for the Curt # C12107 and the Draw-Tite # 36540 are almost exactly alike, with a similar level of vehicle modification needed, which is pretty minor in both cases.

Where they differ is the Draw-Tite hitch specifies that a hole be drilled in the heat shield for the forward-most hole on the passenger side while the Curt specifies that a large portion of the heat shield be trimmed away rather than drilling a bolt hole through it. In either case, the heat shield is reinstalled so that it is sandwiched between the hitch mounting hardware and the the hitch mounting flange.

The Curt install could be considered slightly more difficult because of the different modification of the heat shield but it won't add a huge amount of time to the install.

If I had to choose between the two, I'd prefer the Curt, because the hitch itself is manufactured in the US and because Curt does a slightly better job on their powder coat finish.

For either hitch option, If the vehicle features the underbody panel will need to be either trimmed or simply left off the vehicle.
