Replacement Water Heater for Atwood # GCH6A-10E
Question:
We have a 2012 Keystone Springdale in need of a new hot water tank. I heard originally was a atwood and then could be replaced with GCH6A-10E however everything I am seeing says its discontinued. The cutout was 16inch x 12-1/2inch but I have not been able to find anything close. Looking for a replacement that will not need major modifications to electric and hookups. Thanks

The dimensions of your unit are 19.90 x 17.30 x 14.40 Inches. We have the Dometic RV Water Heater - Gas and Electric - Automatic Pilot - 120 Volt - 10,000 Btu -Item # DMC74FR. This is a 6 gallon unit. Its dimensions are 12-3/4L x 12-3/4W x 19-7/8D Inch. You would need to check if that would fit for you.
If 6 gallons is not enough, you might consider a tankless option like the # FR93FR. Its dimensions are 12-5/8L x 12-13/16W x 19-3/16D.
Since both of these units have depths that are more than your current heater, you would need to see if you have room for either of them.
