Recommended Flat Towing Equipment For A 2020 Chevy Equinox LT

Question:

I have a 2020 Equinox. The parts page for #DM9519332 states not confirmed to fitinch the 2020, however the video title and content clearly state this is for a 2020. Also, the DEMCO website calls for DM9519332 for a 2020 Chev Equinox. Before I purchase this item, just want to make sure its the correct one for my vehicle. Thank you for your time and assistance! There was a fitment issue in the past but I called Demco to confirm that the Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms Item # DM9519332 would fit with your 2020 Chevy Equinox LT and was informed you should have no issues.

To flat tow your 2020 Chevy Equinox LT you'll also need a tow bar, tow bar wiring kit, braking system, and safety cables. I have the following recommendations for you below:

Tow Bar: etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000lbs Item # e34ZR. This tow bar will connect to your Demco base plate with no adapters needed and features non-binding arms that make hooking up and disconnecting on uneven ground super simple.

Tow Bar Wiring: If you don't have the Premier you'll need the Roadmaster Universal Wiring Kit with Smart Diodes for Variable Voltage Incandescent Tail Lights Item # RO94FR. If you do have the Premier you'll need the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit Item # RM-154. These wiring kits will splice into your vehicle's existing wiring to signal instead of having to run magnetic lights to the back of your vehicle every time you want to tow.

Braking System: Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System - Proportional Item # HM39524. This system is a reoccurring setup but only takes a few minutes and comes with a battery charge line kit to maintain your vehicle's battery while towing.

Safety Cables: Curt Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables with S-Hooks - 42" Long - 5,000lbs - Qty 2 Item # C80151. The coils on these cables will help prevent them from dragging on the ground and becoming damaged.
