I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11354 for your 2018 VW Beetle. It will fit both the coupe and convertible trims. It has a maximum tongue weight capacity of 200 lbs and trailer capacity of 2,000 lbs. Be sure to consult your VW dealer for the maximum capacities for your specific vehicle and use the lower of the 2 sets of numbers.

Currently we do not have a video of the receiver installed for your Beetle.

The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56380 will give you a 4-way flat connector. This is necessary for towing small trailers and will allow you to use Auxiliary Lights # C53201 with a cargo carrier or bike rack.
