The Hijacker 5th hitch will work, though the Replacement Head and Base Assembly # DM6077 isn't the complete 18k hitch (it doesn't have side plates) so it won't fit the Demco adapter for your 2018 Ram 3500. So you'll need the entire hitch assembly, and for the adapter and 18k Autoslide on your 2018 Ram 3500 with the factory puck system, you'll need the following parts:
- Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Slider - 18,000 lbs # DM8550034
- Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ram OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package # DM6099
The Hijacker is a superb option for a sliding 5th wheel hitch because unlike other sliding fifth wheel hitches, the Hijacker does not require you to leave your Ram's cab just to turn.
