Portable Power Watchdog Surge Protector Compatibility with Adapters

Question:
My RV is 50 amp. This I would need a 50 amp protector. What happens if no 50 amp is available at campground? By using an adapter I can plug the surge protector in but will it work correctly and still protect my Rv.

The Portable Power Watchdog Surge Protector with Bluetooth and Emergency Shut Down, # HU87FR has a 50 Amp rating. This is compatible with dog bone cables. If you use this with an adapter connecting to 30 amp service you will still have the rated protection.
