Will the Malone TopTier Utility Trailer Cross Bar System Fit 2 1/2" Round Bars

Question:

My utility trailer has 2.5 inch round tubes for the top rail. I figure I can get u-bolts that will fit around my rail. My concern is if they will then fit through the bracket. I guess my question is how long is that upper bracket?

Expert Reply:

I spoke to Malone and the Brackets/U-Bolts can accommodate up tp 3 3/4 tubing, whether round or square. The u-bolts that come with the # MPG493 should be the ones that are used as they will center themselves when tightened down.
