Question:

Im trying to find the right hitch-rack combination to carry 4 bikes on my 2020 Subaru Forester. Your videos say that the distance from the pin to the edge of the bumper for C12198 is 5, and the distance from the pin to the closest part of the TH9056 is 5 1/2. This sounds like its cutting it pretty close... are these components actually be combined on a 2020 Forester with no bumper contact issues?

You are correct that with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12198 installed on your 2020 Subaru Forester that from the center of the hitch pin hole to the most outward part of the rear bumper will measure 5".

Now on the Thule Camber 4 Bike Rack # TH9056 from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest edge of the bumper is actually 7", so it will fit perfectly and will have no bumper contact issues. This bike rack can accommodate four bikes weighing up to 37.5lbs each.
