Replacing Steps of 2016 Lance 1995 with Torklift GlowStep Revolution

Question:

I have a 2016 Lance 1995 and I want to replace the original steps with the TLA8102. It appears to me that the old steps are riveted to the bracket attached to the trailer. 1 I dont know how to remove the rivets can you advise? 2 It appears I will have to create the bolt holes in the bracket to attach the new step system. Do I need special bits to create bolt holes in the steel ? bracket? Thanks for your help. I am, by the way, highly motivated to do this upgrade.

Rivets need to be drilled out so you'd need to find a drill bit thats a little smaller than the rivet and drill through them till they fall out.

You do not need special hardware to mount # TLA8102 to your brackets either. Nuts and bolt that are appropriately sized would be all that you'd need. You would not need to make the holes larger either.
