Compatibility of Fastway FA49-00-5925 Adjustable Ball Mount With 13K Boat and Trailer

Question:

I tow a 11000 - 13000 lb boat with a 2015 gmc 2500 and need more lift to bring the torsion axle trailer to level towing height and Im concerned about hitch fracture safety. I am looking at the 2.5inch Flash Solid Steel Adjustable Ball mount. Will this ball mount do the job plus more? Can I have 6inch or more lift with this kind of weight? What do you recommend and are the trailer balls permanent or can they be removed from the base mount?

If you're looking for a super-strong adjustable ball mount, the Fastway # FA49-00-5925 is an excellent place to look. The ball mount features a 2 inch and a 2-5/16 inch ball. When the 2 inch ball is used, the ball mount has a 12K capacity or 20K capacity for the 2-5/16 inch ball, so if your trailer coupler accepts a 2-5/16 inch ball, this ball mount would have more than enough capacity for the job.

The ball mount is compatible with a 2-1/2 inch receiver, and provides up to a 10 inch drop or a 9 inch rise which would be perfect for your needs. The ball mount will meet the weight capacities mentioned above, regardless of whether the ball is in the rise or the drop orientation.

The trailer balls are permanently mounted and aren't removable.
