I have a solution for you. Unfortunately, a crossbar spread of 52 inches is much longer to be compatible with any of our cargo boxes.
However, a great alternative is a hitch-mounted cargo carrier. For this route, I recommend the Yakima EXO Swing Away Enclosed Cargo Carrier - 2" Hitches - 10 cu ft - 100 lbs # Y62VR. The Yakima EXO Hitch carrier is great because it holds up to 10 cubic feet of cargo and has internal dimensions of 47" long x 17" high x 21" wide. at the bottom of the carrier and slightly wider in the middle. This carrier will swing out of your way so you will have full access to the back of your vehicle.
For the Yakima EXO Carrier, you will need a trailer hitch receiver. I would be happy to assist you in a recommendation for these if you provide me with the year/make/model of your vehicle.
