Question:
I would like to buy the Microsport Trailer but I have some questions about the trailer tire speed rating and the bearing size. I have a Harbor Freight trailer so I am paranoid about odd bearing sizes. What is the bearing size for the Microsport? Also is the speed rating 70 or 75mph Ive seen both stated and is it limited by the tires only? Thanks for your help!

Helpful Expert Reply:
The tires used on the Malone # MPG461KB MicroSport trailer are rated for up to 70mph. According to Malone, the speed is limited mainly by the tires, but also by the bearing set.
The currently available # MPG461KB Malone MircroSport trailers use the readily-available L44649 as the inner and outer wheel bearing. We sell the bearings in a kit which include the L44649 inner and outer bearing, the corresponding inner and outer race, the grease seal, the spindle washer and a replacement cotter pin. The kits are available as part # BK1-150. If you're not familiar with the replacement process, I've linked a video that will walk you through the procedure.
