Question:
I have a Malone microsport lowbed dual kayak trailer. Is there an attachment to add a second tier for a third kayak? Also, will this trailer support the weight of three : Oldtown 120 Autopilots?

Hey Scott, thanks for reaching out. So it is possible to add a second tier to your Malone MicroSport LowBed with the # MPG474 2nd Tier Kit. It bolts right on and gives you another set of 50-inch crossbars. This should only be used for lighter kayaks or gear though. It has a weight capacity of 100 lbs, and based on what I am seeing online, the Oldtown 120 Autopilots are over 100 lbs.
The trailer itself can handle up to 800 pounds, so three AutoPilot 120s aren’t a problem weight-wise—it’s just the upper rack that’s the limitation. If you're hauling boats of that size, they will need to stay on the lower level.

Thanks for the response. Much appreciated. I figured that would be the answer. I doubt I can add a third kayak to the bottom tier but maybe with some creative DIY. Can you suggest a trailer that could accommodate three heavy Oldtown autopilots?
