Can Touchscreen Remote LC358601 be Tested or is New Charger Needed

We just bought a 2013 Heartland 5th wheel and the LC358601 remote was discovered inside a cabinet. The charger was not with it. Im not sure if the remote is any good or not. My question is is there a way to test the remote with a different charger or can the battery can be replaced to get it to power up for a brief time to check it? I dont want to spend on a charger if the remote is bad. Ive tried a cell phone charger with no luck getting it to come on.

I can definitely understand your predicament here not wanting to spend money unnecessarily, but there isn't a way to otherwise power up or test the Touchscreen Remote # LC358601.
The only way to charge it up is to use the charger that was made for it, which is the Replacement Charger for Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Touchscreen Remote # LC267401.
