Question:
when I order this product is it possible to buy an extra switch so I can wire one switch inside and one outside in the pass-through? Would both switches work separately? Thanks

There should be no issue wiring a separate switch on the outside of your trailer. However, there won't be a way to do this without hardwiring the # LC285500 into your current switch.
I should also mention that this isn't typically used outside, so it is not weather proof. If you do end up mounting it outside, it should be done somewhere protected from the rain.
