Question:
In your experience which is the better fit for multiple trailers? 19foot boat trailer- 10foot cargo trailer, small utility trailer. The vehicle is 2008 Ford Explorer XLT 2 WD Class II V-5 Hitch The BM96 or Draw Tite 36078 ? Thanks for your help

Since you are towing multiple trailers, they probably do not all have the same coupler height to tow them level. If that is the case than a fixed ball mount would not be the best choice. But if all the trailers do have the same coupler height then going with either ball mount # BM96 or # 36078 would be fine.
The main difference between these 2 ball mounts is the rise and drop each offers. Ball mount # BM96 has a 5-1/2 inch rise or 6 inch drop. Ball mount # 36078 has a 4-3/4 inch drop and is not intended to be used in the rise position.
But if the heights on the trailers are all different then I recommend using separate ball mounts for each trailer since there are no adjustable ball mounts for a Class II trailer hitch. I have included a link to an FAQ article that will show you how to measure for the correct rise or drop ball mount needed to tow the trailers level.
