Can Washer Be Used Under Head Of Bolt To Mount Round Rubber Trailer Bumper D2-96?

Question:
5/8inch bolts to attach the bumper. I do not have backer bar. Should I use a washer behind the bolt head?

If you can squeeze a washer through the hole with the head of the bolt, then you can absolutely use one to mount the Pre-Drilled Round Rubber Trailer Bumper - 96" Long x 2-1/16" Wide # D2-96 to your bumper, but one is not required even though you do not have a backer bar as long as you use the correct 5/8" diameter bolts.
Keep in mind that mounting hardware is not included so you will need to source it from your local hardware store.
I included a video of the # D2-96 for you to take a look at.
