Could Strap Hinge # 2512 Work with Other Hinge Style

Question:
Hi , we have a 7X14 enclosed trailer with a 36foot side door with standard RV lock assembly and standard household door hinges. Can the strap hinges be installed in addition to those hinges or will they be fighting the door hinges when opening because they will swing at different radiuss?

Expert Reply:
The center of the hinges have to be in the exact location for the two sets of hinges to not end up fighting each other. If you really wanted to go to the part # 2512 you might plan on having to at worst go to all of the same hinges like this so that everything that works.
