Changing your carbon and propane detector is a very simple process. If installing the RV Safe Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector Item # RS34FR you want to make sure your power is turned off and remove the old unit from the wall. Before disconnecting the wiring observe how it is wired. You simply have 12 volt power going to the unit and a ground.
There will be one red wire and one black wire. The black is ground and the red is power.

Hi there, Are the fuses inline? I wired my Safety gas leak detector up exactly like the old one was but it's not getting power. I checked all the flat fuses for the entire trailer and they are all good and everything else seems to be getting power.
