Is It Safe To Carry Kayaks On Your Roof When They Stick Out Of The Back?

Question:

I have a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS AWD with a factory roof rack, factory crossbars and a sunroof. The crossbars are installed up to the sunroof, to protect the sunroof and wont go any further forward. I want to carry two kayaks on the roof, but due to the placement of the crossbars, the kayaks would stick out 2 feet beyond the trunk. Is there a way to carry two kayaks safely? Thank you!

There is nothing unsafe about having your kayaks sticking out a little bit when they are loaded. If it were to stick out a little further you may have to put a red flag on the end of it but for two feet, you're fine! If you wanted to be extra safe, you can grab this safety flag # EM05302 and attach it to the end of your kayaks!
