I just purchased an2020 Ford Ranger with the factory tow package. I have located the 4 wires under the left side of the dash. Will this controller work for my application?

Expert Reply:
Yes. The Tekonsha BRAKE-EVN # TK63VR you were looking at will work just fine on your 2020 Ford Ranger with the factory tow package.
You will need the Pigtail Wiring Harness for Tekonsha and Draw-Tite Brake Controllers # 20160 to connect to the factory wires you located underneath the dash of your truck.
In addition you will need a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to confirm the functions of the factory wires and match the functions to the # 20160 which are as follows:
Black wire is 12v power wire
White wire is ground wire
Blue wire is brake output wire
Red wire is cold side of stop light switch wire
