Question:
Is there any standard gravity fill cap that is sized to accommodate a gasket or has one built in? I am confused as to why it is so hard to find one with a gasket to prevent any outside water from seeping in and potentially contaminating the fresh water. I did purchase a gasket last season that was the right diameter for my current cap, but it ended up being too thick to allow the cap to close.

I'm not sure of the exact reason why some of these don't have gaskets and I'm not aware of any reason why they don't include them; none of the caps we carry come with an actual gasket but there are some options that provide a better seal than others. I recommend checking out the Replacement RV Gravity Fill Spout with Plastic Cap - Black # 372222-224BK-A, which doesn't have a gasket but does create a seal on your spout using screw in fittings that will keep debris and outside water from getting into your fresh water.
This spout hooks up to 1-1/4" or 1-3/8" water lines and is going to be the best solution I'm aware of for this problem.
