Recommended Car Awning To Use With Malone AirFlow2 Aero Crossbars MPG216

Question:

I have a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek with the 58 in Malone Aero Crossbars. Which car awning system can be used with these crossbars?

Luckily, the Malone AirFlow2 Aero Crossbars 58" Long # MPG216 on your 2018 Subaru Crosstrek have industry standard T-slot channels on top which will allow fitment of many awning kits. For Rhino-Rack awnings you could look into the Rhino-Rack Sunseeker Awning 49 Sq Ft # RR32132, Rhino-Rack Sunseeker Awning 55 Sq Ft # RR32133, or Rhino-Rack Dome 1300 Awning 64 Sq Ft # RR32125.

You could also look into the Yakima SlimShady Awning which comes in various sizes: 30 Sq Ft # Y56VR, 42 Sq Ft # Y36VR, or 64 Sq Ft # Y96VR. These simply clamp around your Malone crossbars and do not utilize the T-slot track like the Rhino-Rack awnings do.

I personally would go with one of the Yakima awnings as they look better and seem to be higher quality. The Yakima awnings also come with integrated locks to keep the system secured to your crossbars whereas the Rhino-Rack awnings do not have this feature.
