Are the Thule Rapid Traverse Feet Compatible with a 2018 Toyota Camry

Question:

Ive been using the 480R roof rack system on my 2009 Camry without issue, but I replaced the 2009 Camry with a 2018 Camry. When trying to install the racks on the newer Camry, I discovered that each vehicle has to has a unique Fit Kit, so I purchased the fit kit for 2018 - 2021 Camrys. The bottom of the new rubber pieces in the new Fit Kit are a different configuration than the traverse feet pieces they are to be mounted on. They have a completely different bottom design and are too small in the middle to even fit over the piece it is supposed to mount to. Also, the metal brackets are too wide to slide up into place. Unlike the first brackets, these get wider as they slide in, until they are too wide and wont slide in nearly far enough to lock into place.

For your 2018 Toyota Camry, the fit kit is part # TH145082. This is compatible with the Evo Clamp Feet, part # TH710501. The fit kit, unfortunately, is not compatible with the Rapid Traverse Feet, part # TH480R, that you referenced.

You'll have to get Evo Clamp Feet, part # TH710501, that I referenced above.

The good news is that these feet are compatible with WingBar Evo, SquareBar Evo, and ProBar load bars. If you have one of those, then this will work with your crossbars.
