Replacement For Thule Hydro Glide Kayak Carrier For Aero Bars

Question:

I have Thule kayak saddles and glides that were meant to mount on the square thule cross bar. My new outback has the aerobars. Is there an adapter that I can use to install these kayak saddles on the aerobar. I see adapter to go in the other direction, but can find any for my application.

Thank you so much for the photo it was very helpful, and what it shows is that you have an older Thule Hydro Glide kayak carrier. This is for square bars only, and there isn't an adapter for this particular carrier that will allow it to be used on aero bars. The reason for that is it has been discontinued right about 20 or so years now and there just isn't enough of them out there for an adapter to be made for this carrier.

So while I know it isn't the exact solution you were looking for, the best option really is to replace the Hydro Glide with a new kayak carrier. Since you have been using the saddle style, there is a really good saddle style option from Rhino-Rack that I recommend:
